My name is Liesl and I  have been a professional actor on TV and in Film as a member of SAG-AFTRA for 25 years in New York City and Los Angeles.

​

Anyone who may have followed my journey, knows that I took a break from the industry for a few years before re-locating to Denver.  This where I currently reside with my incredible hubby and our special needs frenchie named, Hanky, whom you can follow over on Instagram @HouseOfHanky. 

 

He is a rescue from the Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue, and full of cuteness, snuggles and personality!

F U N   F A C T :

​

I am related to Zita Johann, a well known actor in the 1920's - 40's who starred opposite Boris Karloff in The Mummy (1932) and Clark Gable in Machinal (1928) on Broadway. I also wrote the Afterword to Guest Parking, a biography about Zita by Rick Atkins.

D U R I N G   M Y   B R E A K : 

During my break from the acting world, I dabbled in hospitality as Guest Services Manager of The Knickerbocker, the 1st luxury hotel in Times Square, located in the heart of New York City!

 

Ultimately, it was not for me, though I had a great experience and met some truly wonderful, hard working people!  In 2017, I chose to leave to follow my heart and life's creative passion, launching Sensible Style on Etsy, which was inspired by my blog, Fabulous Fashions 4 Sensible Style, that started in 2009.
 

C U R R E N T L Y :
 

In 2020, my hubby and I started our own business flipping homes, he takes everything apart, manages and helps with the updates, and I do all of the design elements and help stage the properties once they are done. Something that allows me to continue to follow my passion for affordable design.  We love working together, 

and since we met later in life, we want as much time together as we can get!

I also jumped back into the world of entertainment and signed with the Donna Baldwin Agency, here in Denver, and I am enjoying pursuing my passion for acting while running my Shop on Etsy and flipping homes.  It's nice to have agent representation who truly believes in you and feels like family!  Thank you, Brad and Julie Baldwin!!!

B A C K G R O U N D :

 

I've been fortunate to travel around the world twice, visit 6 of the 7 continents and 49 of the 50 states in the US, as well as spend wonderful years living in London, England, Abu Dhabi, UAE, Los Angeles, CA and New York City, NY, among others, which has given me a unique sense of life and myself.

​

I'm a creative, artistic, easygoing, affordable fashion and interior design loving, graphic and layout designer who adores cheese, wine, road trips, alliterations, rainbows, smiling and helping others, and always tries to stay positive and upbeat.

I am often asked "are you having a great day or are you always this happy?" or "you might want to cut back on the caffeine?" Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, I am just usually that happy.  Life truly is too short not to be, and why not brighten the world that is already filled with so many hardships.

My family and friends are really important to me, and I am lucky to have had such a wonderful life and upbringing so far.  Aside from acting, I truly enjoy DIY projects, design, affordable fashion, writing and most things creative.  

 

My motto is, "Kindness is always fashionable" and free!

G O A L S :

I hope that through my journey, I will inspire others, continue to smile and one day become an active part of a children's charity foundation.  I will continue to volunteer and give back in any what I can in the meantime.

Ultimately, I'd love to have the opportunity to be a part of the good hearted Hallmark movies that send a light

and  positive message.  They fits who I am and those involved seem to be kind, wonderful people who have created their own little family working together.  It never hurts to put it out there, hope and see! :)
